When creating a system design there are many factors to consider in order to meet your customers operational requirements. Believe it or not even with exactly the same camera estate, hardware requirements can vary wildly depending on the software application being used. Our design team are extremely well versed in almost all commercially available Electronic Security applications and will tailor the design accordingly, this is where our vast experience comes into play.

As a minimum, in order to provide as accurate a calculation as possible, we will need the following information  

• VMS / Video Analytics or other software application being considered 
• Number of cameras
• Resolution(s)
• Frame Rates
• Compression
• Scene Type (quiet, medium or busy)
• Motion or continuous recording
• Retention period (How long are you storing data for?) 

Typically, unless it is a huge project, detailed processing and storage calculations are usually returned within 24 hours with a quotation, system diagrams and detailed technical submissions are also offered free of charge but these may take 48 hours depending on the workload of the Design department.
